History of candle making

Candle making was developed independently in many places throughout history.[1] A close-up image of a candle showing the wick and the various parts of the flame Candles were made from whale fat by the Chinese, during the qin Dynasty (221–206 BC).[2] In India, wax from boiling cinnamon was used for temple candles.[2] In parts of Europe, the Middle-East and Africa, where lamp oil made from olives was readily available, candle making remained unknown until the early middle-ages. Candles were primarily made from tallow and beeswax until about 1850, but subsequently have been made from spermaceti, purified animal fats (stearin) and paraffin wax.[1]

Qin Shi Huang (259–210 BC) was the first emperor of the Chinese Qin Dynasty (221–206 BC). His mausoleum, which was rediscovered in the 1990s, twenty-two miles east of Xi’an, contained candles made from whale fat.[3]

    Hi to all the Candles Lovers.
    I simply love a house that smells good, Im so glad that I met Joyce at my
    very 1st Strawberry Fest 2015, I passed by her booth and the Smell was so good that I had to stop and ask what that fragrance was (Coco Chanel)
    This candle last a very long time and the price was very good too.
    I have spent maybe $75.00 on gifts from Bath and Body Works for co-workers and friends but this lady and her Candles are a Cut Above in the price and product !!!! You wont be disappointed when you buy this product from joyce, she also has many more fragrances, from now on all my candles will come from her on line store Tangi Candles & Creations

    I was at your show the strawberry fesitival and viewed all your wonderul items on display. I did purchase candles i really enjoy in my home. I would love to purchase more if possible. The candles that I enjoyed the most was the ” COCO CHANEL”. pLEASE EMAIL BACK FOR FUTURE ORDERS.
